ACCESSIBILITY
Furries come in all different shapes, sizes, and also, abilities. Here is some information for our attendees that may need some guidance about what to expect at our meets and venues.

FTM VOLUNTEERS
FurTheMoment Volunteers are always present at meets and events and are happy to lend a helping hand. If you need assistance at any point during your visit, do not hesitate to make yourself known to one of them.
FurTheMoment uses a colour-coded lanyard system to denote staff and crew positions:
Crew
Crew are our general helpers. They set up and pack down, welcome attendees, give directions, and help keep things running smoothly. They’re not responsible for first aid or safeguarding, but they support the rest of the team. Crew are typically on volunteering duty for specific events, or for a couple of hours at a time. They are best contacted if you cannot find a member of staff, and are identifiable by blue lanyards.
General Staff
Staff are more experienced than crew and take on extra responsibilities during events. They help with logistics, answer questions, handle issues, and support attendees directly. Staff wear red lanyards so you can recognise them easily.
First Aiders
First Aiders are trained to help if someone is hurt or unwell. They are always on hand during events and can give first aid or call for more help if needed. First aiders wear green lanyards so you can find them quickly. A First Aid Lead at each event is responsible for the first aid kit.
Welfare
Welfare Staff are specially trained to handle safeguarding concerns and to support everyone’s wellbeing. They are also the first people to talk to if you have any accessibility needs or concerns. Their role is to make sure problems are dealt with properly and everyone feels safe and included. Welfare staff wear purple lanyards so you can recognise them easily.
Event Leads
Event Leads are the senior staff in charge of running the event. They are the people to go to for big issues, including serious problems with other volunteers or staff. Event leads oversee the team, make sure everything runs smoothly, and wear dark red lanyards so you can spot them easily.
We're really sorry, but Boom Battle Bar's lift currently isn't working, and we don't have a timeline on getting it repaired. Please consider attending the Mini Meets instead, while this issue is being fixed.
